GREEN BOOK 3, UNIT 6: Did (simple past)

In this unit, students are introduced to the SIMPLE PAST tense and the ‘MONTHS’ of the year using the preposition ‘in’, eg. ‘in March’. Verbs, both regular and irregular, are practiced with the question, ‘What did he/she do?’ etc. and the answer, ‘He/She ate/drank.’ etc. ‘Yes/No’ questions are also studied with ‘Did you/he/she …?’, ‘Yes/No, he/she did/didn’t.’ We then look at follow-up questions using ‘WHAT’ and some new ‘times’ (last night, last week, etc.) eg. ‘What did he do.. last night..?’, ‘He drank.’, ’What did he drink? He drank …cola..’. Finally an assortment of ‘Wh- questions is studied. Focusing on ‘WHERE’ and the verb ‘go/went’ and ‘WHEN’ and its associated vocabulary ‘MONTHS’, eg. ‘Where did he/she go in ..April..? ‘When did he go to the zoo? He went in  ..May..’
