Can it ...?
The word ‘Can’ (with regard to ability) is introduced. We look at ANIMALS (NOUNS) and their ABILITIES (VERBS). First we learn to make positive and negative sentences about the animals and their abilities, eg. ‘It can swim, it can not fly’ etc. We then learn to ask and answer ‘YES/NO’ questions, eg. ‘Can it fly/run/climb a tree? etc. ‘Yes, it can./ No, it can not.’ We then look to the student’s abilities, ‘What can you do?’, referring to the VERBS in the VERBS GLOSSARY, we ask each other questions about our abilities.

‘Kid’s Vid’ – ? -IDEA perhaps 12 animals are shown with the verbs at the bottom. O and X are put next to the pictures of the verbs as hints are given. In the beginning, animals are faded-out as they are excluded, revealing the answer. Finally studenst have to deduce it by themselves.

‘In Action’ – Kids playing the simple, ‘What is it? Game. Eg. 1 student chooses an animal and gives hints about its abilities while other have to guess what it is.
‘Kid’s Vid’ – ? -IDEA – This should be the first vid- Let’s introduce our chosen 12 animals for the upcoming game, eg. cicada, bat, shark, duck it. Then let’s put the ‘O’ and ‘X’ marks on them.
