Students learn to talk about the future using ‘will’. Conveniently the word, ‘will’, just replaces the word ‘do’ from the SIMPLE PRESENT tense in many situations ie. ‘Do you..?” becomes “Will you..?” “FEELINGS” are reviewed as a reason for an action taking place, eg. ‘He is cold’ therefore ‘He will make a fire’. TIME is also a focus with emphasis on the preposition ‘at’, eg. ‘What will he cook at 9:00?’. Finally OCCUPATIONS are reviewed along with a variety of ‘Wh-Questions’ using, ‘What will?, When will…? and Who will… with?”
1) Will you ...? Yes, I will./ No, I won't. Review: 'Feelings'
NOTE: We are finding the that the recommended ’50/50′ game (#FTY-03#) with #CBS-421# cards (see below), doesn’t really work that well with the ‘Will you ..? GRAMMAR POINT. Eg. In the, ‘Do you..?,’ version of the game, ‘Do you study Russian?’, makes sense, as these students don’t currently study Russian. However, ‘Will you study Russian?’ could be a ‘Yes’ as they may study it in the future. We are looking for a replacement.
