Green Book 3 Unit 3: Animals

Students learn to describe ANIMALS by describing their appearance and abilities using, “It is ..ADJECTIVE..” and “It can …VERB..(noun).” By inverting these sentences into ‘YES/NO Questions’, “Is it…?” and  “Can it…?” they will be able to play ANIMAL based ‘Detective Games’. Finally we will introduce the concept of ‘comparative adjectives’, (bigger, faster etc.) and the word “WHICH” using “Which one is bigger?”

NOTE! This UNIT involves playing DETECTIVE GAMES with ANIMALS. The answers can be quite subjective and it’s not as ‘clear cut’ as it is with other Detective Games. Eg. Is a goat scary? Is a pig common? Teacher’s will need to mediate between the students to clear up issues.
